Step 1: Visit the Official EPDS Telangana Portal

Open your browser and navigate to epds.telangana.gov.in/FoodSecurityAct/. This is the official website managed by the Department of Consumer Affairs, Food, and Civil Supplies for Food Security Card (FSC) services.

Step 2: Find the FSC Search Option

On the homepage, locate the “FSC Search” option, typically found on the left or right side. Click on it and select “FSC Application Search” from the dropdown or sub-menu.

Step 3: Select Your District

Choose your district from the provided dropdown menu to ensure the search is specific to your region.

Step 4: Enter Required Details

Input one of the following: FSC Reference Number (provided during application, often via MeeSeva), Aadhaar Number (12-digit number linked to the application), or Ration Card Number/Old Ration Card Number. If you applied through a MeeSeva center, you can use the MeeSeva Application Number.

Step 5: Submit and Check Status

Verify the entered details and click the “Search” button. The portal will display the application status: Approved (ration card issued, downloadable with details), Under Review (processing, typically 15–30 days), or Rejected (check reasons in the “Rejected Ration Card Status” section and reapply if needed).

Step 6: Use Mobile Number (Optional)

If a mobile number was provided during the application, you may try searching with it, though this is less common. Ensure it matches the registered number. If this option is unavailable, use the Aadhaar or FSC reference number instead.

Step 7: Troubleshoot Issues

If you see “No Records Found,” double-check your details (e.g., district or number). Ensure a stable internet connection to avoid portal errors. For persistent issues, contact your local civil supplies office or MeeSeva center.

Processing Time: FSC applications typically take 15–30 days, depending on document verification and local office workload.
Eligibility: Applicants must be permanent Telangana residents, financially unstable (annual income below ₹1.5 lakh in rural areas or ₹2 lakh in urban areas), and not hold an existing FSC or ration card.
Documents: Submit Aadhaar card, identity proof (e.g., Voter ID), address proof, residence certificate, bank passbook, and passport-size photos via a MeeSeva center.
Benefits: Access to subsidized food grains (5 kg per person monthly at ₹1–3 per kg for rice, wheat, etc.), serves as identity proof, and enables eligibility for other government schemes.
